PartyPoker adds $10/$20 games to its "Casual Gaming" section
PartyPoker lauched Casual Cash Games in May this year, in the hope of encouraging recreational players to move off the Play Money tables and onto real cash games. Their thinking was that casual players were being put off by the expert, multi-tabling sharks that are usually found swimming around their poker tables. If you play a Casual Cash Texas Hold'em game at PartyPoker, you're only allowed to play at one table at a time. This means that your typical, expert poker grinder cannot include a Casual Cash Game among the tables they currently have open.
You can spot Casual Cash Games within PartyPoker's poker client by the smiley face next to the table. Initially, only games from $0.01/$0.02 to $0.50/$1 were included, but the games have been such a success that PartyPoker has now decided to add $10/$20 games as well, for those casual poker players who want to learn the ropes of online poker without the fear of having their bankroll decimated by poker players who have been devouring poker fish for breakfast for years. These limits will only be available for casual players - the normal PartyPoker limits of nothing more expensive than $10/$20 for cash games and $30/$60 for fixed limit games will still apply.
To increase the attractiveness of Casual Cash Games, PartyPoker has also begun to run something that is called the Flip Flop Festival Mission. You can claim a bonus if you manage to complete any of the following challenges while playing Casual Cash Games:
Play and see 60 flops on Casual Cash Game tables for a $10 restricted bonus.
Pay and see 300 flops on Casual Cash Game tables for a $25 restricted bonus.
Play and see 1,200 flops on Casual Cash Game tables for a $100 restricted bonus.
If you're a newbie poker player looking for a safe place to start your poker career, then why not consider the Casual Cash Game tables at PartyPoker?
